Enrollment Requirements for University of Pennsylvania Scholarships

• An applicant must be enrolled in an eligible degree or certificate program. Most certificate programs do not meet the eligibility requirements for federal student aid, however, there are some exceptions. Please contact our office for additional information.
• The candidate in general must remain enrolled for at least six credits if you are an undergraduate student* with the exception of the Federal Pell Grant, which is awarded based on the number of credits and the Expected Family Contribution.
• An applicant in general must remain enrolled for five credits; at the 400 level or higher if you are a graduate student.
• The candidate must Comply with University of Pennsylvania Scholarships Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy.

Application Requirements for University of Pennsylvania Scholarships

• Applicant must have a high school diploma
• Applicant must be a citizen or eligible non-citizen with a valid Social Security Number
• B applicant must be registered for the Selective Service if you are male and 18-25 years of age
• Applicant must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) yearly
• An applicant must comply with any and all requests for information
• Applicants must remain in good standing on educational loans and grants per the National Student Loan Database System (NSLDS)

How to Apply for University of Pennsylvania Scholarships

An applicant’s submission of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the only action required to apply for most financial aid at Penn State, however, some private scholarships and Penn State scholarships require separate applications.
