New York University Scholarships 2024-2025

Count yourself blessed then as New York University Scholarship and financial aid has opened its doors for candidates both domestic and international to apply for the scholarship. New York University Scholarships recognizes that your education is an investment for both you and your family.
It’s important to apply on time to be considered for as much aid as possible. Also, the amount of aid a student receives their first year is often the amount they will receive in following years. Filing late can affect eligibility in the future.
New York University Scholarships and Grants 2024-2025
New York University is committed to providing financial aid packages that take into account financial need of their students. Unlike loans, if an applicant receives a scholarship or grant from New York University or an outside organization, he /she will not need to repay those funds.
Renewal Criteria:
You will continue to receive your NYU scholarship during the regular academic year (fall and spring terms only) as long as you are a full-time student taking at least 12 credits. Part-time students taking between 6 and 11 credits will have their scholarships prorated. Credits need to be applicable to your degree progress.
Types Of Scholarships and Grants
1. Federal Grant Programs
Federal Pell Grant
The federal government created the Federal Pell Grant to help students with financial need pay for their education.
Who is Eligible:
A candidate could be eligible for a Pell Grant if he/she meet the program’s economic criteria and program requirements and are enrolled in your first bachelor’s degree program.
• If an applicant is eligible, an estimated award will be listed in their award package. The official evaluation of an applicant eligibility will appear in your Student Aid Report (SAR).
• After reviewing your SAR, you can make any necessary changes and save the final SAR for your records.
• An applicant can also review and make changes to your SAR in the “FAFSA Follow-Up” area of the FAFSA website.
• If an applicant enrolls in the summer, he/she may also be eligible.

2. Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant
The TEACH GRANT provides grants of up to $3,772 per year to students who plan to teach in a public or private elementary or secondary school that serves low-income families.
Who is Eligible:
• Steinhardt students enrolled in specific majors
How to Apply:
• Complete the FAFSA
3. Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grants (FSEOG)
The FSEOG program is funded by the U.S. Department of Education and administered by New York University to provide assistance to students with exceptional financial need. If you qualify for this grant, you will be automatically considered.
Who is Eligible:
• Undergraduate students who are also eligible for the Federal Pell Grant and NYU scholarship recipients will automatically be considered. FSEOG may be awarded in place of scholarship funding.
How to Apply:
• Complete the FAFSA. You will be automatically considered if you qualify.
4. New York State Tuition Assistance Program (TAP)
If you are a New York State resident enrolled in a full– or part-time degree program, you may be eligible for funding from the TAP program. Funding from the program varies, depending on income and tuition cost.
Who is Eligible:
New York State residents enrolled in a full– or part-time degree program
5. Aid for Part-Time Study (APTS)
APTS offers awards of up to $2,000 per academic year to eligible New York State residents who are pursuing part-time undergraduate degree studies. You must be enrolled for 3 to 11 credits per term.
Who is Eligible:
• New York State residents with demonstrated financial need who have not exhausted their TAP eligibility.
How to Apply:
• Fill out a FAFSA and an APTS application.
