McGill University offers two merit-based entrance scholarships, one for freshmen and one for incoming first-year, first-degree undergraduate students. Financial assistance is available to qualified undergraduate students at McGill University. Applicants for McGill University Scholarships are required to meet the following requirements:

- Choose a full-time degree program at the University.

- Students must have registered for undergraduate or masters-level classes at the university in order to apply for the award.
- International students that are eligible to apply for entrance scholarships from the University should submit their CSS Profile as well as their McGill application to be considered.
- During the academic year, students may apply for In-course Financial Aid whenever necessary.
