University of Manchester Scholarships 2024-2025

The University of Manchester Scholarships seeks to attract motivated and academically accomplished students, and provide an interdisciplinary educational program, provide unique learning opportunities that engage and challenge students, develop a close mentoring relationship between students and faculty across disciplines, develop student leaders who are actively involved on-campus and in their community, promote the mission of Manchester University to graduate persons of ability and conviction who draw upon their education and faith to lead principled, productive, and compassionate lives that improve the human condition; and provide opportunities for faculty to challenge their own teaching/learning in an environment with motivated students and teachers.

University of Manchester Scholarships Eligibility Requirement

There are a few ways you can join the Honors Program at Manchester University:
1. You can be invited to apply.
• Prospective students who submit a completed application for admission by May 1 and are rewarded a Presidential or Dean’s Scholarship will be invited to apply to the Honors Program.

2. Students already enrolled or who are transferring to Manchester University must:

• have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5, with at least 12+ credit hours
• complete the online application (Honors Program Application)
• return Faculty Recommendation to the Honors Director (Tim McKenna-Buchanan) Faculty Recommendation Form Honors Program
Multicultural Excellence in Leadership Scholarship – covers tuition, fees, plus room & board
Admitted students can find the scholarship application on their personalized Manchester microsite. One scholarship is awarded each year, renewable for four years.

Qualifications:
• Be an incoming first-year, undergraduate student
• Identify as a racial or ethnic minority
• Have been admitted to Manchester University
• Have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher on 4.0 scale
• Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Category of scholarships under University of Manchester Scholarships

1. Honors Scholarship
One Honors Scholarship is awarded, and it covers tuition, fees, room and board per year (for up to four years). The Honors Scholarship replaces the Presidential Scholarship. Honors Scholars must maintain a 3.5 CGPA, maintain active status in the Honors Program, and graduate with Honors & Achievement from the Honors Program.

2. Trustee Scholarship
Five Trustee Scholarships are awarded to the top five alternates for the Honors Scholarship, and they are up to $24,000 per year (for up to four years). The Trustee Scholarship replaces the Presidential Scholarship. Trustee Scholars must maintain a 3.5 CGPA, maintain active status in the Honors Program, and graduate with Honors from the Honors Program.

3. Multicultural Excellence in Leadership Scholarship
The Scholarship covers tuition, fees, plus room & board.
Admitted students can find the scholarship application on their personalized Manchester microsite. One scholarship is awarded each year, renewable for four years.

How to apply for the University of Manchester Scholarships

If you are a student seeking your first Associate’s or bachelor’s degree, you’ll use the Undergraduate Student Application. Note that, along with your application there is one additional document required to complete application process:
Your official high school transcript(s) – You will need to request an official transcript be sent directly from your school to our office. They can be sent through electronic services like Parchment or Naviance, or via email to admitinfo@manchester.edu.

If you have already attended college but wish to continue your classes at Manchester and obtain an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, you’ll use the Transfer Student Application.
If you are from another country (not a citizen of the United States) and you are seeking your first Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree, please use our International Student Application. Manchester University uses The Common Application to better serve international students.
All students pursuing advanced degrees in Manchester’s Master of Athletic Training, Master of Science in Pharmacogenomics or Doctor of Pharmacy programs simply select the labeled application links above.
