Fully Funded Chevening Scholarship Applications for 2024-2025 will open in August 2023. Therefore, students who wish to Study in the UK on a fully funded Chevening Scholarship should prepare every needful thing towards the prescribed period of application.

About Chevening Scholarship

Chevening is the UK government’s international scholarships programme. This programme is Funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and partner organisations, they offer awards to study in the UK for one year on a fully funded master’s degree course.

The Chevening Scholarship Includes the Following:

• university tuition fees
• a monthly stipend
• travel costs to and from the UK
• an arrival allowance
• a homeward departure allowance
• the cost of one visa application
• a travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK

The Chevening Scholarship Application Timeline for 2024-2025

Chevening Scholars are selected within a minimum of eight months from the application deadline to when applicants are conditionally selected for an award. Below is the timeline for Chevening Scholarship 2024-2025

• Application opens on 2 August 2023 at 12:00 BST
• The deadline for applications is 1 November 2023 at 12:00 GMT (midday UK time)
• Applications are sifted against eligibility criteria on 2 November 2023
• Then, Independent reading committees assess all eligible applications from Mid-November to December 2023
• Applicants are shortlisted for interviews from early to mid-February 2024
• The references and education documents deadline is from February to Late April 2024
• Interviews take place from 27 February 2024 to 28 April 2024
• Then, from June 2024, results are announced
• The deadline to receive and submit at least one unconditional UK university offer is 17:00 BST (UK time) on 13 July 2024.
• Chevening Scholars commence their studies in the UK in September/October 2024

How to Apply for Fully Funded Chevening Scholarship 2024-2025

The Chevening Scholarship Application 2024-2025 is basically online. All Chevening applications must be submitted through the online application system (OAS). The system will be used throughout the application and selection process, and you will be asked to log back in at any time during the process to receive updates on your application status, or to submit documents.

To Apply online, follow the steps below:

• Go to Google Chrome web browser using a laptop or PC.
• Enter the URL, https://www.chevening.org/ in your browser
• Then, press the enter key on your keyboard
• When the page opens, Click on the “Apply” tab at the top menu of the page
• Read the Scholarship instructions and proceed
• Select your country/territory and the type of awards
• Read carefully about the awards
• Then, Scroll down and click on the online application system
• When the page opens, fill out the online application form with your details
• When completing your application form, work in a full-sized window.
• Enter information accurately, especially your contact details. Please ensure that you enter a valid email address.
• The application form may take some time to complete, so consider preparing your answers offline and then pasting them into the online form later
• Answer the application questions. Answers that are less than 100 words will not be considered.
• Save as you go!
• You do not have to complete the form in one session. Use the ‘Logout’ button (top right corner of the page) and keep a note of your username and password so that you can come back and finish off your application later.
• Complete and submit your application. Incomplete applications will not be processed.

Please, take note: Only submit your application once you are completely satisfied with it. You can only submit one application and we will only accept your first application.
