2026/2027 Chevening Scholarship UK Fully Funded: An Opportunity for International Students
2026/2027 Chevening Scholarship UK fully funded
The application period for the 2026-2027 Chevening Scholarships is currently closed. Applications for the fully-funded scholarships to pursue a one-year Master’s degree in the UK were open from approximately mid-October 2025 to early January 2026, with the selection process beginning in January. You should monitor the official Chevening website for the announcement of the 2027-2028 application window, which will likely open in the fall of 2026. Chevening Scholarships allow exceptional individuals to study for a one-year master’s degree at a UK university.
Chevening enables outstanding emerging leaders from all over the world to pursue one-year master’s degrees in the UK.
There is no such thing as a ‘typical’ Chevening Scholar, but those who are successful tend to have ambition, leadership qualities, and a passion for influencing positive change in their home countries.
We encourage you to apply if you meet the eligibility criteria and other requirements. Your gender, age (there is no upper age limit), sexual orientation, religion, marriage or parenthood status, caste, class, or other attributes do not matter. What matters is your ability to submit a thoughtful application that demonstrates you are capable of excelling on an intense master’s course in the UK, and that you have a clear vision for your future.
- Fully funded: The scholarship covers tuition fees, a monthly stipend, travel to and from the UK, an arrival allowance, and visa costs.
- For future leaders: It is designed for talented individuals from around the world who demonstrate leadership potential and are committed to returning to their home countries to make a positive impact.
- Focus: The program supports a one-year Master’s degree in any subject at a UK university.
- Stay updated: Check the Chevening website regularly for updates on the next application cycle.
- Review eligibility: Familiarize yourself with the eligibility criteria, which include being a citizen of an eligible country, having at least 2,800 hours of work experience, and holding a degree that qualifies you for a UK Master’s program.
- Prepare for the next window: Begin preparing your application by researching eligible Master’s courses and considering your professional and personal goals.
