Canada-ASEAN Scholarship 2024-2025

It offers opportunities to grow, learn, and develop skills for the future. The Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED) are facilitated through institutional collaborations and student exchange agreements between Canadian and ASEAN institutions. These agreements are created between colleges, technical or vocational institutions, and universities. Students, hereby referred to as “candidates”, must be registered as full-time students in their home institution at the time of application and during the entire duration of their study or research stay in Canada.

Scholarship Benefits:

The award value of the Canada-ASEAN Scholarships depends on the duration and level of study, and it will be distributed in the following manner:

CAD 10,200 for undergraduate or graduate candidates for a minimum of four months or one academic term of study or research,
Graduate candidates for a period of five to six months of study or research will receive CAD 12,700.
CAD 15,900 for undergraduate and college applicants for eight months or two academic terms of education or research.

Eligibility Criteria for Canada-ASEAN Scholarship

To qualify for this scholarship, you must meet the following criteria.

  • You are Enrolled full-time at a post-secondary institution in an available country (see eligible countries below).
  • If you have already participated in an exchange program funded by the Government of Canada are not eligible,
  • You must decide on a field of study or research that contributes to and is aligned with the completion of the 2030 agenda for sustainable development,
  • Canadian students are not eligible for this opportunity.

How to Apply for Canada-ASEAN Scholarship

The instruction below will guide you on how to apply for the Canada-ASEAN Scholarships award.

  • Contact your home institution and take admission in undergraduate and graduate degree coursework at any university in Canada.
  • After that, the home institution will apply on behalf of the candidate by submitting the online application form and uploading all supporting documents to the Canadian partner institution.
  • If institutions face any difficulty in providing documents, then they can send an email to scholarships-bourses@cbie.ca.
  • Submit a certificate of residency, letter of intent from the candidate, evidence of full-time enrollment, letter of invitation from the Canadian supervisor, letter of support from the home institution, and Signed copy of the memorandum of understanding or agreement with the partner institution.
  • Ensure you hold their previous degree certificates.
