Barry University in collaboration with the Strive Foundation and Stamps Scholars Program is awarding scholarships to help driven and talented student, domestic and international achieve their education and life goals. The Stamps Scholars pursue their educational interests while developing their leadership skills. This is achieved with merit based financial aid including enrichment funds that can be used for study abroad, cultural exchanges, research projects and other educational experiences enjoyed by the beneficiaries.

List of Barry University Scholarships

The Ann Fels-Wallace Fine Arts Endowed Scholarship: was established to honor Mrs. Ann Fels-Wallace, who received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1976, by awarding this scholarship to a female junior, senior or graduate student working towards a Fine Arts degree.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:
*Be a female undergraduate student in her junior or senior year or a female graduate-level student currently enrolled at or admitted to attend the University’s College of Arts and Sciences
*Be pursuing a degree in the Fine Arts
*Have a 3.0 or greater cumulative GPA
*Demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Barry University Office of Financial Aid and based on the FAFSA form completion and review

The Adrian Dominican Sisters Memorial Endowed Scholarship: Is awarded to full-time, undergraduate students who demonstrate financial need.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:
*Be a full-time undergraduate student at Barry University
*Have a 3.0 or greater cumulative GPA
*Demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Barry University Office of Financial Aid and based on the FAFSA form completion and review

The Albert W. Shellan Memorial Endowed Scholarship: was established to assist a student with financial need that intends to be a nursing student in the Barry University College of Health & Wellness.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:
*Be currently enrolled as a nursing student in the University’s College of Health & Wellness
*Demonstrate financial need as determined by the Office of Financial Aid as indicated by the FAFSA form completion and review.

The Alexis Cabrera Endowed Scholarship: was established to encourage motivated, outgoing, community service-minded Barry University student leaders. This scholarship is awarded in student’s sophomore, junior or senior year.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:
*Be enrolled as an undergraduate student who is a sophomore, junior or senior at the University
*Be majoring in History or Music
*Have a 3.0 or greater cumulative GPA
*Demonstrate financial need, as determined by the Barry University Office of Financial Aid and based on the FAFSA form completion and review

Barry University Stamp Scholarships Application Criteria:

All Prospective Barry University Stamps Scholars must meet the following minimum requirements:
• A minimum 3.5 high school GPA or an international equivalent
• Demonstrated and active involvement and leadership
• First year freshman (US citizen, resident, or international student)

  • Make sure to answer all questions completely and complete all essays thoughtfully

  • Go into the system regularly to see if there are new scholarships you may be eligible for
  • If a thank you note is requested, please be sure to submit in a timely manner as funds are not disbursed until these are received

The Barry University Stamps Scholarship Program provides the following.

  • Applicants’ annual renewable scholarship for tuition, books, accommodation and transportation
  • An applicant’s additional $6,000 award for study abroad or other extraordinary learning experience.

How to Apply

Applicant must first apply and be accepted to Barry University. All supporting documentation will be received until January 15.
Applicants must complete the online application and once accepted to the University and must submit an essay.
Barry University Stamps Admissions Review Committee comprised of faculty and administrators during the month of February will select semi-finalists to participate in a telephone interview.

Finalists will then be scheduled for an interview with the Strive Foundation during the month of March. The outcome will then be communicated by April.
